Nicky Thornton

Nicky is the youth services manager at CCH, she is responsible for all youth provisions within the department. This includes: Plusone Mentoring, a mentoring service facilitated by volunteers for young people aged between 8 and 14 years; Breakthrough, a youth project that provides activities and support to young people aged between 11 to 16 years; Prince’s Trust, a course that helps develop the skill sets of young people aged between 16 to 25 years and helping them reach positive destinations.

Nicky previously worked for Glasgow City Council, Community Education, where she had several roles from working with homeless people to young people’s sexual health and detached work.

Nicky come to Community Central Hall in 2005 as a youth worker, she continued her service and eventually became the youth services manager.

In her spare time, Nicky enjoys travelling abroad and spending time with her family.
